Brett started his teaching/coaching career in 1983 and is the co-author of the book Competitive Tennis: Climbing the NTRP Ladder which was published in English and Russian.
During his 14 years as Director of Tennis at the New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club, he coached 22 players that went on to play Divisions I or III collegiate tennis. In addition, he was Assistant Coach for both the Tulane and LSU Men's tennis teams, and the Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s teams at ULL where two of his teams earned NCAA tournament berths.
Amongst his many previous roles with the USTA, Brett currently serves as USTA Southern Executive Vice President and on the USTA Louisiana Board of Directors as a Past-President and as a member of the Louisiana Tennis Hall of Fame Committee.
Nationally, he is the present Vice-Chair of the USTA Collegiate Pathway Committee and serves as a member of the newly-crueated Tennis Industry United Facilities Task Force.
A native to Louisiana, Brett was a varsity letterman at LSU where he completed his Bachelors in Marketing and later received his MBA from Loyola University.
As a USPTA Master Professional and Charter Member of Stone Creek, he is excited to assume the role as Stone Creek's Director of Tennis.
